The Manchester Adult Burn Care Service provides specialist burn care for Greater Manchester and parts of the North West. Our multidisciplinary team includes Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Intensivists, Microbiologists and a Clinical Psychologist who work within a cohesive environment to provide holistic burn care which incorporates critical care, theatre, rehabilitation and reconstruction.

We have a total of 12 beds consisting of 4 single rooms and a 4 – bedded bay, with 2 Intensive Care and 2 High Dependency beds.

The Burns Centre has over 250 inpatient admissions each year, and includes over 40 critical care admissions as well as 120 outpatients a week.

Continuing care following discharge is coordinated by the Burns Outreach team, based within the Manchester Burn Care Service. They offer home and hospital visits and run clinics every day.

Visiting times are from 2pm – 5pm and 5:45 – 8pm
Children under the age of 16 are not allowed on the unit due to infection prevention.

Please do not bring cut flowers or plants due to infection prevention.
